Rain

Local woman witnesses summer rain in Southern California — more news at six. After five months, it poured for at least an hour. For someone who comes from a country where it rains frequently and someone who is a self-diagnosed rain lover, that rainy hour made my summer. The next day, too. Even my husband was texting me from work if it had rained yet. Unfortunately, our rain showers don’t last for days and the clouds clear up pretty fast with sun shinning through. That’s why, when it starts to rain, I already miss it, knowing very well it’s gonna disappear soon.

Also, I started bread making again. My husband has a gluten allergy so I’m not baking glutenfull bread as frequently because it’s only me who can eat it. I am, however, developing a gluten free sourdough starter as we speak. (I’m on day 4.) Hopefully, it works out and and he can enjoy the oven spring goodness, too. Will report more on the subject.
